Common Questions
Working With Us
What guarantees can you offer that the job will be finished on time and on budget?
As with any project or part of a construction project, timelines need to remain flexible. I do my best to ensure my materials and product orders for each project are placed on time. My build time is accounted for and respect for the client, contractor, designer, other trades, and any foreseeable interruptions are accommodated to the best of my ability. I always keep your budget and my estimated costs in the front of my mind. Time is money and I respect both belonging to my clients.
How can I be sure you are the right person for the job?
When choosing trades and craftsmen for your projects, be sure their values, attitude and work history align with your desires. Being able to communicate with, share your vision with and ultimately work with any craftsperson is going to make all the difference in how satisfied you are with the end result. I have been in this industry for over 30 years. I am familliar with industry specific and lay person terminology. I have recently began using auto cad to design my own projects after seeing clients trying to explain to builders what their vision is only to have it fall flat due to ineffective interpretations and misunderstanding. I also work effectively with other industry specific professionals because of my time and experience in the feild.
What experience do you have?
I have been working in the stair and railing specialty since I was a child. I started working with my father in his workshop when I was just 10 years old. I fell in love with the craft and couldn’t see myself enjoying any other career. I have pursued this career whole heartedly since then. I have extensive experience with hard, soft and a large variety of exotic woods including all types of oak and maple, walnut, cherry, poplar, butternut, Brazilian cherry, acacia, ipe, bloodwood, tigerwood, ebony, wege, hickory, jatoba, mahogany, jara and many others.
